For those of you that know Mindy, you know she is an amazing single mom, Grandma (YaYa), friend, and co-worker. She is an extremely hard worker who has always had "Energizer Bunny" levels of energy. With no history of  health issues, she wound up in the hospital 2 weeks ago with stage 4/5 Polycystic Kidney disease. She is undergoing dialysis 3 times weekly and will eventually need a kidney transplant. This is life changing and overwhelming! As you can imagine, she will encounter both mental, physical and financial stresses and challenges. Mindy's employment income is the sole source of income that provides for the needs of her family.  She has already used her sick leave, so she no longer gets paid if she does not work. These funds will give her the ability and peace of mind when needing time off for doctor appointments and rest.
