On Thanksgiving night, our dad, Mike, had to undergo emergency open-heart surgery. We are incredibly grateful for the skilled medical team that operated on him, and for his strength and determination that helped him make it through. After one week in the hospital, he was able to return home the evening of December 4. The road to recovery is long—and the financial burden is something our parents simply cannot face alone.

Mike is the kind of person who fills every room with laughter. If you have the pleasure of knowing him, you know this to be true. He’s an avid golfer and member of the Elks Lodge, a lover of music, sports, and cooking, and the one who always brings people together. He is truly the life of the party—both in our family and among his friends.

The funds raised will go directly towards helping our parents manage the growing medical bills and expenses that come with a sudden, major surgery. This is an incredibly hard time for our family, and any contribution—no matter how small—will make a meaningful difference.
