Help Support Mike’s Fight Against Lung Cancer
Donation protected
Our dad is currently fighting lung cancer. He was diagnosed in November 2024, and has gone through several rounds of chemo and weeks of radiation. Despite still being sick and going through radiation 5 days a week, my dad returned to work part time to have some income coming in as short term disability was very minimal and they were still falling behind.
He has lost his voice due to the strain on his throat with consistently getting sick everyday so we have not been able to talk to him even on the phone for almost 2 weeks.
We found out just yesterday (5/7) that the cancer has now spread to his neck and lymph nodes. He now has to undergo a more aggressive treatment which requires a hospital stay. The dr says this is also his last option - if it doesn’t work they don’t have any more treatment options to help him. We are just waiting for the phone call for him to be admitted.
Most of you who will see this don’t know my dad but he is one of the most hard working people I have ever met my entire life. He even went to work today after just finding out this news yesterday that his cancer spread. He is not the type to ask for hand outs, he is much too proud, however with his household being a one income household, him and my step mom are struggling month to month to make their mortgage. We don’t come from a family with money, we’re all middle class hard working people so my family asked me to set up this page to ask for help,
Prior to my dad’s diagnosis, they were already working on getting back on their feet financially as my step mom also has had numerous health issues over the years and has had surgery after surgery.
I set the goal for 6 months of their mortgage for now. We are not sure how this last final treatment option will go for my dad, but in a time when you should be focusing on your health and recovering, worrying if you’re going to have a place to live is the last thing you want to be thinking about.
Please consider donating to give my family some hope in this time of need
Any amount helps! All funds are going directly to my dad once collected. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and support.
