Help Support Miguelitooo's Music Production Education

Hi, I’m Miguel Castillo, but most of you know me as “Miguelitooo”.

I’m a queer Mexican American artist and DJ based in Oakland, CA.

Formerly Mexico City.

Music has always been my way of building connections, reclaiming spaces, and celebrating identity. Over the years, I’ve organized events that uplift the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities, curating immersive experiences that bring people together through sound and storytelling.

Now, I’m ready to take my artistry further by enrolling in the Electronic Producer Program at IOMusic Academy.

This 12-month course will refine my skills in beat-making, sampling, sound design, and mastering—helping me push creative boundaries and craft original music that represents my unique voice. I have already received a $1,500 grant from the Music Connects Foundation to help cover the costs of the program.

This support has been instrumental, but I still need further funding to fully enroll and access all necessary resources.

I am asking you for 5,000 dollars in support.

This funding would help cover the direct cost of tuition in the amount of 6,550 dollars, so I can focus on learning, creating, and growing as an artist. More than just a financial boost, it’s an investment in the future of inclusive, boundary-pushing music.

I believe music has the power to create change, and with this opportunity, I’ll be able to expand my impact, build a strong foundation as a producer, and give back to the communities that have shaped me.
