Marty’s Story:

On January 14th 2025, we brought 7 month old Marty into the ER at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, after a minor fall at home. Marty was unable to keep any food down, we believed he had a concussion. A CT of Marty’s head was done in the ER, and a large tumor was found in his right ventricle. That night Marty was sent to the PICU. The following days he had an MRI of the brain and spine, an external ventricular drain placed, and a biopsy of the tumor. He was discharged from the hospital on January 20th while we waited on biopsy results. Marty had a few happy days at home, as we waited. January 24th Marty was having more vomiting due to his increased intracranial pressure and had to have a shunt placed.

Since having the shunt placed to relieve pressure, Marty has been back to his normal, happy self.

Marty has been diagnosed with a rare cancer in the brain called Choroid Plexus Carcinoma. The cancer has metastasized to his brain stem and spinal cord. Marty’s first dose of chemotherapy will be on February 19th. We pray that the chemo is effective with minimal side effects. If you know Marty, you know he keeps a smile on his face. We’re so thankful that God has blessed us with such a happy baby.

Praying Psalm 118 over our sweet boy.
Psalm 118:16-18 “The Lord’s right hand is lifted high; the Lord’s right hand has done mighty things! I will not die but live, and will proclaim what the Lord has done. The Lord has chastened me severely, but he has not given me over to death.”

We appreciate every amount that is donated. Marty has a long road ahead of him and will need to be in and out of the hospital for the next few months to continue treatment. The funding will be used towards medical bills, meals while in the hospital, and medical supplies used to take care of Marty at home. Our biggest ask is that everyone please continue to pray for our sweet boy!
We are so grateful for the army of people standing with us praying for our baby, it means the world to us, thank you everyone
