Help support mick during his recovery
Donation protected
On Thursday August 17, My friend Mick fell at a show in Orlando and seriously injured his knee/tibia. Mick is a barber by trade and will be unable to stand to cut hair while he is recovering from two surgeries for a tibia plateau fracture. He is expecting to be out of work for 8-10 weeks at a minimum. This puts him in a stressful financial situation with rent and bills piling up. Mick is a wonderful person and a loyal friend to all of us and we are hoping to raise some funds to support him when he needs it most. This incident is difficult for him while living alone and we are all going to do our best to assist in any way we can, if you can spare anything to help Mick he would greatly appreciate it.
Lucky Horse Tattoo (Orlando) and Forever Tattoo (Cape Coral) will be having flash days to raise funds for Mick in addition to any assistance from this campaign.
If you’d like more details about his condition please read below:
Mick has a tibial plateau fracture. It is a broken bone in the bottom half of the knee, at the “plateau” of the tibia. To treat this, he will need an internal fixation with a plate and screws alongside the bone to allow it to heal in the right position. However, since his knee is so swollen, he has an external fixation where the hardware is framed around his knee for about 1-2 weeks to allow the swelling to go down before Mick will need a second surgery to put hardware on the inside. This will also require PT, medical equipment and furniture, and support from his family in the mean time but they also cannot carry this weight on their own.
