Hi my name is Alicia a long time friend of Pete, i'm helping him and his beautiful partner tell their story :

Life can change in an instant, and for my dear friend Pete and his partner Michelle that moment came recently when Michelle was diagnosed with leukemia.

Anyone who knows Michelle knows the kind of person she is — selfless, strong, compassionate, and always the first to show up for others. She leads with both her heart and her kindness, and her partner and family reflects that same warmth and goodness. Now, they’re facing one of the hardest battles of their lives, and they need our love and support.

Michelle's partner Pete is a wonderful man — kind, hardworking, and devoted to his family and loved ones. This diagnosis has shaken their world, and while they’re facing it with courage and faith, the financial strain that comes with treatment, hospital stays, and time away from work is overwhelming.

Being based in Vancouver Pete will commuting back and forth every Friday to Sunday to visit Michelle, she will be residing in Vancouver for a period of six to nine months, awaiting a bone marrow transplant and attending the BC Cancer outpatient program two to four times a week in Vancouver. To accommodate her treatment, they have rented a house in Vancouver, resulting in expenses in both Kelowna and Vancouver. Despite the challenges, they remain positive and focused on her healing journey.

I created this GoFundMe because I’ve seen first hand how much Pete and Michelle help everone around them . They never hesitate to help others — now it’s our turn to help them.
