Help support Michael Parks Heart transplant and or surgery

update: he’s unable to have heart surgery or a transplant until his gallbladder, kidneys, and liver are functioning properly. He’s been in the hospital for over two weeks, and has had two gallbladder procedures, now they are working on his kidneys.

Hey everyone. Our family could really use some help right now, as we are in the most terrifying situation. Michael (age 33) recently was diagnosed with Heart Failure (a leaking mitral valve) that has caused his heart to be extremely enlarged and cause fluid build-up in his body, and he will need a transplant or major surgery very soon. His heart is so enlarged and weak that his doctor stated this has to have started happening when he was around 5 or 6 years old.

For weeks now, what feels like out of the blue, he has been unable to eat, sleep, or even walk down the hallway without extreme chest pain, weakness, and shortness of breath, and has made each day completely unbearable. He is meeting with the surgeon on April 2nd to find out when his surgery will be, and they quite literally are trying to keep him alive until then. Since his diagnosis, he has missed work, while he is our family’s main provider. I have since found a job at my daughter’s old daycare but cannot start until I have the money to put her into daycare. Michael will have to take a LOA very soon and will not be getting his full pay. So I’m hoping, wishing, praying we still have a village out there somewhere. We have small children.
