Help support Melissa’s lumpectomy surgery

Hi, I’m Melissa and I’m raising funds because I unexpectedly need lumpectomy surgery and will be out of work for 2-3 weeks to allow for healing.

I found a lump in my breast in November 2023, saw my OB-GYN in December and they recommended a mammogram and ultrasound. However, that doctor did not take my insurance so I had to switch to within my state with a new doctor. The soonest the new place was able to see me was April 9th, 2024. They agreed to proceed with a mammogram and ultrasound which they confirmed the lump that I found back in November. It is over an inch in size. They also referred and scheduled me for a needle biopsy which I had done April 23rd. Some showed benign, but another part they are concerned could turn into cancer, so here we are with surgery scheduled so that they can remove it completely.

I am currently working, but will still have bills to pay while I’m out of commission and healing.
