Hi, My name is Megan Golding. I’m a 2nd year student doing primary education. I’m planning on using this experience to begin writing my dissertation essay!

I'm thrilled to have an opportunity to support early childhood development in Tanzania. I will have the opportunity to work in a childcare setting in Tanzania, where I hope to make a positive impact on the lives of young children and their community.The Maasai in the Lemiti village have approach the mighty roar (my volunteering organisation) to help their community with the rapid development of Tanzania. Due to Tanzania growing more popular as a tourist destination, the Maasai can no longer continue their traditional nomadic ways. Therefore by doing this volunteering opportunity I will help create a sustainable plan to support the village by helping the children to adapt to a fast changing Tanzania and to preserve their tribe for many generations to come

The childcare facilities I will be working with are dedicated to provide a safe and nurturing environment for young children, but they often lack the resources needed to thrive.

Basic supplies, educational materials, and teaching staff are desperately needed to enhance the quality of care and to create a more impactful learning environment.

In order to make this trip possible, I'm also seeking support to cover essential travel expenses such as flights, visa costs, and other necessary travel necessities. Any remaining funds will be used to directly provide these essential resources, ensuring that these children have access to the tools they need to succeed.
