Help Support Mathew & His Family

I am Beverly Suiker and I am asking for everyone’s support for my son Mathew and his family.

On March 4th 2024 Mathew was admitted to the ER with an extreme migraine and pain from what felt like behind his left eye. The doctor said he had a sinus infection and prescribed antibiotics and sent him home. In the months that followed his condition worsened and he started to experience intermittent vision loss and even worse pain. After multiple trips to the ER and more antibiotics, He was eventually referred to a neurologist and a CT scan was performed.

Mathew has been diagnosed with a life threatening and potentially fatal condition, Hydrocephalus.

Hydrocephalus is the excessive accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid within cavities of the brain. This excess fluid causes the ventricles to widen, which puts harmful pressure on the brain tissues and nerves.

In the coming months Mathew will undergo multiple procedures to help manage the excess fluid accumulation. Mathew will be on lifetime medications and will need constant follow ups with doctors to monitor the pressure.

We are asking for your consideration in supporting Mathew and his family as Mathew will be off work for an undetermined amount

of time.
