Recently, our sister Mary Kate went to the emergency room as she suspected she had an infection. What began as a kidney infection turned into a blood infection, which travelled to her heart.This infection caused her to have a heart attack, and has potentially affected the functionality of her new mitral valve. She will most likely need the valve replaced. Since her initial heart surgery less than 1 year ago, and now with another pending heart surgery, the medical bills are piling up.It takes a village, and a little goes a long way.
