My name is Brittney, and I am the daughter of Mark and Cathy. Just over a month ago, our family faced an unimaginable crisis when my father injured his back at work. Despite starting chiropractic care through workers' compensation, his condition did not improve, leading to an MRI that revealed unexpected results: lesions suggesting bone metastasis. Shortly after, we received the devastating news that Dad has cancer that has spread to his bones, and unfortunately, there are no treatment options. Initially given a prognosis of 6 to 12 months, that timeline has since dwindled to just 1 to 3 months. On April 17th, my mother found him unwell and took him to the ER, where he was admitted for pneumonia and pain management. With my mom now out of work to be by his side, their financial situation is becoming increasingly dire, with mounting medical bills and the need to arrange for hospice care and a funeral. Especially after work comp closed his claim even though the MRI also showed a clear fracture to his vertebrae from his work injury.
