Hi all,

Many of you will remember that we recently came together to fundraise for our dear colleague and friend, Mario, who tragically lost four close family members—his sister (Christelle), nephew (Jason), niece (Janke), and his nephew’s fiancée (Michelle) in a tradgic accident. The response was incredible, and we managed to raise £5,000 to help support Mario during this unimaginable time.

Unfortunately, due to issues with JustGiving and difficulties transferring the funds to Mario’s bank account, all donations were refunded. While this was deeply frustrating, we’re grateful for the generosity shown—and we’re not giving up.

Mario is still facing significant financial hardship, having had to cover the funeral costs for four loved ones. To continue supporting him, we’ve now set up a new fundraiser on GoFundMe, which will allow us to get the funds directly to Mario so he can begin to recover from the financial burden.

We’re hoping to reach the same goal of £5,000 again, and every contribution—no matter how small—will make a real difference.
