Help Support Maria Inés Through Cancer Treatment

Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you know, my wife, Maria Inés, was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. In February, she underwent a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery and is now enduring chemotherapy and additional treatment to follow.

These last few months have been incredibly challenging, both physically and emotionally, but Maria Ines has faced them with remarkable strength, resilience, and positivity. Apart from the physical toll, there’s also been a significant financial strain as we navigate the costs of quality treatment, insurance, and a career transition in my case.

Reaching out for help isn’t easy for us. As educators, we are used to being the ones offering support rather than asking for it. But, we are also reminded of the power of family and community both near and far, so after careful consideration, we have decided to start this GoFundMe campaign.

If you feel moved to do so, your support will help us manage the continued financial burden of Maria Ines’ treatment, allowing us to focus on what matters most—her recovery, healing and support.
