Help support Mama Bear's fight!

Hi Everyone,

As most of you know my mom has been battling for her life for a year now and we are almost a year into her receiving treatment. My parents do not know I am fundraising for them as finances are not a top priority on their list right now and my mom's care is the only thing on all of our minds. While insurance covers some but not all of these expenses I do not want them to feel burdened and being almost a year into this battle I'm sure they have accrued some debt. We all have an absolutely amazing support group around us and I'm grateful for all the ways so many of our friends have shown up for us whether making food for the family or simply just holding us all in prayer, I feel the love and I know Mama does too!

For those of you that don't know, or just happened across this fundraising page by accident, My mom was diagnosed last May 2024 with an aggressive for of Clear Cell Uterine Cancer and she is at stage 4. By July 2024 the cancer spread to her stomach and colon, but the surgery was a success and the surgeons were able to remove everything they could see with the naked eye. August 2024 Mama started Chemo treatments, October 2024 Mama suffered a stroke and had more challenges to face ahead of her. However, due to the stroke and amazing team at Tufts in Boston my mom was able to continue her care through Dana Farber Cancer Institute. We later found out that the Chemo did nothing to treat my mom's cancer and the cancer had only spread into her lymph nodes at this time. My mom is now receiving a new treatment regimen which is immunotherapy and that is where we currently stand - she is 6 treatments in and has more scans scheduled soon.

Through all of the ups and downs of this roller coaster my mom has stayed strong in her faith and she has faced every uphill battle with grace and grit. She knows she is in the fight of her life and she said from the moment of her diagnosis "I won't let the devil take me down". Like any of us she has her moments of fear and great sadness for all that has been taken away but she is also grateful for all that she still has - all of you, our family and friends both near and far.
