On November 24, 2021, my mom and sister were heading home from Christmas shopping. They made it to highway 31, about 10 minutes from home and we’re in a terrible and horrific car accident. Mallory is 9 years old had never been in the hospital, broken a bone, and was barely ever sick. When they were in the car accident Mallory’s spine was broken, her aortic artery was severed, and her spinal cord was decompressed. She was life flighted to USA in mobile where they were able to save her life. Her first surgery, which was on her artery, has only been done on older people and they barely survive the process. They told us when we made it to the hospital that my mom was doing good but that our sweet baby Mallory wasn’t looking like she was going to make it.. But she did !! The next morning the doctors noticed that Mallory did not have a pulse in either of her feet. The doctors went in for another surgery to repair the arteries In her legs ! She has 2 working on the left and 1 on the right now ! After that surgery they thought they would be done.. they weren’t, she lost the pulse to her feet again and they went in for another surgery. They did relaxation cuts on both side of her Caffs. Later on that night Mallory was jetted to a different hospital because she needed to be put on dialysis. She did great on dialysis! Did it on and off for about 3 weeks and she is now finished !! Mallory lost 70 % of her intestines do to no blood supply. The doctors repaired what they could and did clean out procedures 3 times a week and are still doing these procedures! During the times of the doctors repairing Mallory’s spine one of the intestines started leaking. As a result, Mallory’s spinal cord had to be tied off. She is paralyzed from her belly button down. Sadly, she is unable to eat or drink for 6-12 months minimum. We were told 2 other times during these months, so far, that Mallory would not make it.  Mallory has beat the odds 4 times now. She made it through the wreck and the other 3 times we almost lost her. She is a warrior! Mallory went from 5 wound vacs to 1! She is now in the burn unit and doing rehab until her last wound vac is removed and the she only has rehab!! Mallory is still very sad, of course but she is fighting her war and winning ! She just started doing TikTok’s and learning how to wheel her self around ! She’s doing so good ! Mallory’s got a good bit till she can come home. We’re working on get her a new bed, wheelchair, and whatever she needs or wants ! Please continue to pray for Her and keep her in your thoughts. Think about the war she’s fighting and how far she has come!
