The end of 2024 and the start of the new year for me has been anything but happy. My lil baby Maeve came home with me for my winter break from school and suddenly started having seizures on New Year’s Eve.

My entire evening into the next morning (literally as the ball dropped to the new year) and then the following night was spent rushing her to 3 different emergency animal hospitals, trying to control them with medication and at-home monitoring until finally she needed to be hospitalized overnight because she just would not stop having them as frequently as pretty much every hour.

Being a student, I am in an extremely limiting and frustrating financial situation and am asking for help from my community to aid with some of her vet expenses. I’m sure we’re all familiar with the financial strain that veterinary expenses put on us, but when it comes to our babies, we’ll do anything to help them.

I’m hoping that I’ve made enough of an impact on my community to have friends and loved ones to lean on during this time when I feel absolutely helpless and like I have nowhere else to turn.
