Help Support Madilyn’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Our sweet 18 month old baby Madilyn has recently been diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a rare liver cancer which primarily affects children under the age of 3. Testing also revealed two small spots of suspected spread on her lungs.
Madilyn is being treated at U of M’s C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital. Over the next few months she will undergo eight rounds (two full cycles) of chemotherapy to shrink the rather large (4x6x3 inch) tumor on her liver & eliminate the small spots that have spread to her lungs. After the chemotherapy and more testing is completed, Madilyn will undergo major surgery to remove the tumor from her liver. Depending on the outcome of her surgery, she could potentially be facing a liver transplant. We are hopeful that her surgery will be successful & a transplant will not be necessary, but are preparing for all potential outcomes.
This fundraiser is being held to offset any financial burden Madilyn’s parents (Toni and Jeremy) will face during this difficult time, to allow them to focus on what matters most - providing little Madi with all the care, love, and attention she absolutely deserves during her treatment & recovery journey. All funds donated will be used to cover medical bills, medications, travel to and from C.S. Mott Children’s hospital in Ann Arbor, and any other treatment and recovery expenses that arise.
No parent should be at risk of experiencing financial hardship to provide the medical care their child requires. It is our hope that this fundraiser eliminates that possibility. Toni and Jeremy are also expecting a newborn in late July/early August, so as you can imagine - they will have their hands full as time moves forward.
Madilyn & her family have a long road ahead of them and could use all of the love and support in the world right now. Madi is a tough & feisty little girl - we are optimistic she will get through this and come out even stronger than before!
Thank you so much for your contributions to Madilyn’s fight against cancer.
