Help support Mackenzie Jarve
On Monday, August 7th, 2017 Mackenzie Rae Jarve (17 years old), was involved in a automobile accident which has resulted in a severe neck and spinal cord injury. After a seven hour surgery to remove and replace her C-6 vertebrae, decompress and straighten her spinal cord and install plate, screws and rods to support her new vertebrae Mackenzie has now been diagnosed as quadriplegic. After her six day stay in ICU she will then be transferred to Miller Dwan to start 8-10 weeks of intense rehabilitation, speech and physical therapy. Her medical expenses will be quite costly even after insurance. Mackenzie's parents Dave and Tonya Simcox both have full time jobs however, they need to be at their daughters side along with taking care of their two other children. Driving back and forth from Kettle River, MN to St. Mary's Children's hospital in Duluth will get very costly along with the time away from their careers. Their house will have to be remodeled to accommodate Mackenzie when she is able to return home. Dave and Tonya are wonderful people, they would help anyone in need, please help support this family. Thank you.
