Our sweet friend Luke is preparing for his third open-heart surgery on January 7, 2026 — news that has been incredibly difficult for his family to share and even harder to face. This upcoming surgery will be extremely complex and invasive, lasting an estimated 14–18 hours, as doctors will reopen his chest and operate directly on his heart to replace parts that were placed when he was just a baby. The recovery ahead will be long, painful, and challenging, but if there is one thing everyone knows about Luke, it’s that he is an incredibly strong and brave little boy. No child should ever have to endure this once — let alone three times. His family is doing everything they can to stay strong for him during this unimaginable time, but they need the love, prayers, and support of their community now more than ever.
