Help support Lonny and his family as he recovers

Donation protected
Hello everyone, I am starting this GoFundMe to support my cousin Sally and her husband Lonny who has recently suffered from a severe accident. Please read the story below for more information. Any donation is seriously appreciated. Please share and show your support in any way possible. Thank you!

Over the weekend, Lonny attended one of his closest friend’s 40th birthday celebrations in Austin, TX. He was supposed to return this past Sunday, however, instead of being able to return to his family, he was caught in an unfortunate road accident.

Late Saturday, as he and his friends, were riding on electric scooters back to their hotel, he suddenly hit a pothole in a dark alley, causing him to crash and jolt face-first into the concrete. The force of impact led to multiple fractures on his face: his frontal skull, eye sockets, cheekbones, also leaving him with a broken jaw and nose. Lonny was rushed to the ER and his wife, Sally, 9yr old daughter, Ahriyanna, and mother, Lori, took the first flight out from Seattle as soon as they found out the news. He went straight into surgery and currently is being treated at Dell Seton Medical in Austin.

The family is very lucky that he is alive today, yet they still have so much more to go through. Lonny is currently being monitored in the ICU by his family day and night, away from their home in Seattle. Over the next few months, he will have to undergo multiple extensive facial and plastic reconstruction surgeries in order to reconstruct all the damage that was dealt to his face. All of his reconstructive surgeries will have to be done in Texas.

Today, Lonny is still in a lot of pain, but with the support of his friends and family by his side, he is staying strong. After the initial surgeries, the family hopes they are able to return back home to Seattle to continue his ongoing reconstructive treatment there.

This is just the beginning as this will be a long process to full-recover. Throughout this whole time, both Lonny and Sally will be out of work and Ahri will, unfortunately, be out of school to be together as Lonny recovers. To make matters even harder, because the accident occurred in Texas, the medical insurance may not able to cover the medical bills, nor their daily living expenses or loss of income. The family is still waiting for disability insurance, but since this is a long process, we are asking our communities for any donations that could help them through this process.

Please support Lonny and his family while he recovers during this time. Anything big or small is appreciated, and if you are unable to donate, please share so that we can reach more people who may help. Thank you for taking the time to read this and hear their story. Out of respect for their privacy, I ask everyone to please refrain from contacting the family for now, however, please keep them in your prayers.
