Help Support Logan’s Road to Recovery
On July 3rd, Logan was riding his road bike home from work when a car turned across the road into a driveway, causing a devastating accident. He was rushed to Eastern Idaho Medical Center, where doctors sedated him immediately to reset his lower leg and restore blood flow to his foot.
The list of injuries was unthinkable: Logan suffered a broken femoral neck, a tibia shattered in multiple places with an open fracture, and a fractured fibula. He was life-flighted to the University of Utah for emergency surgery, where further injuries were discovered: a broken ankle, heel, and foot on his left side, as well as additional injuries to his hamstring and MCL in his right leg.
The journey for Logan and his family is far from over.
• His right leg must remain locked in extension during recovery
• His left leg is non-weight bearing for at least 8–10 weeks
• He now relies on a wheelchair, walker, shower chair, and round-the-clock care to manage basic daily needs
He must return to the University of Utah on July 22nd so doctors can monitor the open fracture for infection, remove stitches, and determine whether a bone graft or additional surgeries are needed. His hip, which has been stabilized with hardware, also carries a risk of necrosis, which could lead to a hip replacement within the next 8 months.
Logan has been working two jobs—farming with his brother and welding at Vorp Industries—to support his wife and their four young children. Now, he's facing at least three months off work, with full recovery projected to take up to 18 months.
This GoFundMe has been created by family to help support Logan and his loved ones during this incredibly challenging time. Between surgeries, follow-up appointments, physical therapy, mobility equipment, and time away from work, the expenses are extensive and ongoing.
Logan and his family shouldn’t have to carry this burden alone. If you feel moved to help, any donation—no matter the size—will make a difference. If you're unable to give, sharing this campaign means just as much
Thank you for standing with Logan and his family. ❤️
