Hi, my name is Rusty Stone, and I’m the owner of The Iron Horse Restaurant in Ashland, VA. I’m starting this fundraiser on behalf of one of our longtime employees and dear friends, Logan Haines.

Logan has been a part of the Iron Horse family for 9 years. He’s the kind of person who always greets you with a smile, works hard without complaint, and would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. Unfortunately, Logan is now facing a serious medical crisis of his own.

Since July 17, Logan has been unable to work due to severe complications from C. diff, E. coli, and colitis, along with other ongoing, undiagnosed health issues. He was hospitalized just a week after falling ill and has been in and out of the hospital ever since. With no clear timeline for when he’ll be able to return to work, Logan is under immense financial strain - he’s already facing more than $25,000 in medical debt and that number continues to grow.

We want to rally around Logan, not just as his employers, but as his friends and as a community. This fundraiser is a way to help ease the heavy burden he’s carrying and remind him that he doesn’t have to fight this battle alone.
