Help Fox Chapel's Only Venezuelan Cafe

¡Hola! Welcome to Cafe Tú y Yo, the only place in the Fox Chapel area offering Latin American nourishment—family recipes and imported sweets straight from Venezuela. Every day we prepare crispy beef and pulled chicken empanadas, arepas pressed by hand and filled with Venezluan-style scrambled egg (perico) or chicken and avocado salad (Reina pepiada), comforting staples like rice with savory black beans, and locally roasted coffee. At Tú y Yo, the plate is always half full, and we need your help to fill it up!
In the midst of the financial downturn of the past year, Tú y Yo was not eligible for the Paycheck Protection Program or Pennsylvania Small Business Grants—and as an independently and family owned cafe—we need your financial support. Your donations go towards a standing freezer to house our sofrito and other prepared fresh ingredients, a new espresso machine to expand our coffee offerings (including our favorite cortadito), and overhead costs we need in order to keep our doors open! Your support will help us fully realize our dream of feeding the community with food from the family and from the heart.
We opened Cafe Tú y Yo to bridge our Latin American heritage between Venezuela and Fox Chapel area and build a brighter community. We say that CafeTú y Yo (“you and I”) is a place for you and I to meet, a place where we can exchange stories between each other and on our pallets, and raise our plates to a healthy community.
As a thank you for your donations we would like to offer two of our house made empanadas or arepa and a drink of your choice! Theres also a little rumor of cute t-shirt coming soon for $100+ donations ;-)
