Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for support for someone very dear to me, my bonus mom, Lisa.

On June 9th, Lisa was diagnosed with cervical cancer. After additional testing, we learned that due to the progression of the disease, a total hysterectomy is no longer an option. Instead, she will need to undergo a rigorous treatment plan of chemotherapy and specialized radiation.

The type of radiation Lisa requires is not available locally and must be done in Houston. This means frequent travel, time away from work, and a major shift in day-to-day life for both her and my dad, who will be by her side every step of the way, driving her to appointments and caring for her during treatment.

Lisa is a nurse, a loving wife to my dad, a wonderful mom, and the most incredible Honey to her grandbabies. She has spent her life caring for others and goes above and beyond for her patients by delivering prescriptions to their homes, buying them lunch, and always putting their wellbeing first. Now it is our turn to show her the same love and care she gives so freely to others.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help with the medical expenses, travel costs, and household bills. Your donation, big or small, will help ease the financial burden so Lisa and my dad can focus entirely on her healing and recovery.
