Many of you know and love Lisa Cockerham and right now we are reaching out to ask for prayers and support from her friends and family as she recovers from a very serious injury. The worries, of not only what the future holds for her physically, but financially, are already beginning to weigh down on her and her husband David. We would love to help ease just a small part of that burden.

Prior to last week, Lisa had been hard at work planning a memorable spring break trip to St. George, UT, not only for her family and parents, but for nieces and nephews who were flying in from around the country. It was an amazing few days, thanks to Lisa's planning and preparation, and they were all looking forward to the big finale of the trip--a day of riding ATVs through the sand dunes and red rocks of Sand Hollow State Park. Unfortunately, just an hour into the fun, the ATV that Lisa was riding in crashed down a steep sand dune. Lisa's nieces and nephew, who were in the ATV with her, suffered minor injuries, but unfortunately Lisa's injuries were much more serious, requiring that she be airlifted to a nearby hospital where she underwent emergency surgery to repair her crushed vertebra.
The surgery went as well as could be expected and the good news is that Lisa has sensation in her legs, but unfortunately is still not able to move them. We are praying and hoping that with a little more time, Lisa will begin to gain some movement in her legs. She will soon be moved from the ICU, to a spine clinic in St George to recover and rehabilitate for the next few weeks. As she cannot be transported back to Northern Utah at this time, it means that she is 6 hours away from her kids and her support system, adding to this difficult situation.
A link to a news story about the incident is posted below.

Thank you in advance for any help you can offer Lisa, David and their family. We know they are loved by many and this is an opportunity to pull together to lighten their burdens and show our love and support.
