Help Support Linda Coyne's Stroke Recovery
Donation protected
On Thursday, October 12, 2023, my mother, Linda Coyne, suffered a major stroke and was air-lifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where she is undergoing rehabilitation. As you can imagine, I am devastated. When I received the call from the neurologist that evening, the prognosis was not very promising. They were unable to go through the artery to remove the clot and there was talk of doing further very invasive treatments. However, in just one week’s time, she’s made a lot of progress. The doctors and therapists are very optimistic and feel she has the strength and determination to improve significantly. Her recovery is still in the very early stages, though, so there are a lot of unknowns.
What I do know, however, is that she will need me by her side in these critical first weeks and possibly months, as that is the window where patients make the most progress. If you know my mom, you know the connection and bond we share. It is absolutely vital l to her recovery that she has my encouragement and help. I am asking for your support, not only emotionally, but financially, as I cannot provide the funds on my own. The money collected will go to providing living expenses for both myself and my mom, as well as her medical bills. The funding will also help with hotel accommodations, as I live in White Rock, B.C., which is a three-hour drive to Seattle.
My mother is a Realtor in Birch Bay, WA. She is dearly loved by her family, friends and clients alike. If you know my mother, you know that she is one of the kindest and most compassionate women you will ever meet. She gives freely to those in need and is always there for the people she loves – which is EVERYONE! She loves animals, nature, outings with friends, entertaining and making delicious meals. I am so looking forward to seeing her return to her old self and I appreciate your help in making that happen!
Lastly, I will use this site to post periodic updates on her progress for all those concerned. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
