Help Support Lifesaving AEDs for our JJYLaxers

Tax deductible

We need your support to ensure lifesaving AEDs are at our practices and games.  John Jay Youth Lacrosse, a not for profit organization, has purchased 8 AEDs to protect our kids and community.  We need your support to help fund these lifesaving tools.

On April 16 a varsity lacrosse player in Maryland took a shot to the chest and was immediately diagnosed with commotio cordis, a disruption of the heart’s rhythm that results in sudden cardiac arrest.  The timely use of an AED, a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the condition and then treats it through defibrillation to allow the heart to re-establish an effective rhythm, was vital to saving this players life.

While our JJYL coaching staff  are certified for First Aid and CPR, AEDs are vital to have on hand in case this were to ever happen on our fields.

Please support our cause through a monetary donation and share this fundraiser with family, friends, alums and members of the community.  It can help save the life of one of our players or community members.

You can donate any amount you like. If you or your company wish to sponsor a full AED for $2000, please email us at “[email redacted]” We will of course recognize your contribution appropriately if you allow us to.

Donations, which are tax deductible, can be made via this GoFundMe page  or by mailing a check to John Jay Youth Lacrosse, PO Box 301, Cross River, NY 10518
