Hello!

My name is Lauren Brillante, though my new spiritual name is Senna. I am fighting peritoneal cancer that has spread to other places in my body, including the bone at the base of my neck. After many delays of treatment, I will begin chemotherapy on April 14th. I do not have work or income right now, and I had to move out of my apartment. I am settled now in private rooms in a house in Longmont, CO, while I live with 3 housemates.

I will be receiving an infusion of one immunotherapy drug, pembrolizumab, and two chemotherapy drugs, paclitaxel and carboplatin, at each infusion, which will take 6 to 7 hours. My last treatment should be on July 28th.

I have been focusing everything I eat, drink, and do on trying to slow down the cancer growth while waiting for treatment to start. I have learned a lot about foods, drinks, activities, and supplements that help fight cancer.

I believe in order to sustain myself I am going to need to raise $1200/month so that I can cover necessary costs like car insurance, phone, storage, gas, and necessities, as well as to continue to use the foods, drinks, and supplements that are most helpful to continue with during treatment. So I have set the total of this fundraiser at $4800 to account for the next four months during which I will be receiving treatment.
