Dearest Friends,

On July 16th Lawrence M. Chandler, better known as Larry, died due to complications of a heart attack. He spent two weeks in the hospital fighting as hard as he could but in the end his body couldn’t handle the strain. He was surrounded by people who loved and cared about as he passed. And in the end it was thankfully peaceful.

Throughout his time in the hospital we received many messages from people who cared about him and that meant the world to all of us. We are infinitely grateful for the outpouring of love for Larry from his friends, family, former bandmates and colleagues in the vfx industry. It means the world that Larry meant so much to all of you like he did to us. Larry has worn a lot of hats over the years whether it be as a musician, an animator, a father or a friend. Over that time he has surrounded himself with great people.

Larry and I have been inseparable for over 15 years. We built a close knit life and a band together. I know many of you have seen and supported our live band and burlesque revue, Sinister Twist over the years. From gigs to road trips, down to everyday routines, our lives were deeply intertwined. He’s family to me, and I’m committed to giving him a beautiful sendoff.

Unfortunately, due to the sudden and shocking nature of his passing, he left no end of life plans, nor the resources to pay for his memorial services. On top of that, as we built this life together, our finances became very enmeshed. His unpaid bills, end of life expenses, as well as losing his income to pay the normal rent and power, have put me in a very precarious financial position.

Larry’s family and I would be eternally grateful for any contribution you are willing and able to make. Every little bit counts. If you are unable to donate, we would really appreciate it if you share this post or pass it along to anyone who knew and cared about Larry.
