Help Support Lainey & Jacob After Losing Their Sweet Pup
Donation protected
In September 2024, our dear friends Lainey and Jacob adopted a rescue pup named Juno from Austin, TX. They knew she had a difficult past—Juno had survived abuse that left her with a fractured skull and a brain injury—but at the time, it seemed she had made a full recovery. Lainey and Jacob welcomed her into their lives, ready to give her the safe and joyful life she deserved.
Just a few weeks into her new home, Juno began experiencing frightening episodes where she became unresponsive. After numerous vet visits, tests, and sleepless nights, it was discovered that Juno was suffering from a serious brain infection and abscess that was causing the episodes and seizures. Despite the grim diagnosis, Lainey and Jacob chose to fight for her life, starting her on a powerful antibiotic treatment. For a while, it looked like Juno was healing.
Tragically, over Easter weekend, Juno suffered another severe episode. After exhausting every option and with broken hearts, Lainey, Jacob, and the emergency vet made the incredibly difficult decision to let her go. Juno passed surrounded by love—knowing she had finally found her forever family.
Lainey and Jacob poured their hearts, time, and resources into giving Juno the best possible chance. They spent tens of thousands of dollars on her care, never hesitating to do whatever it took to help her heal. They would never ask for help themselves, which is why we’re stepping in to do it for them.
This GoFundMe is our way of showing them that they’re not alone in their grief—and to ease some of the financial burden they’ve quietly shouldered. Any amount you can give is deeply appreciated. Every donation is a gesture of love, support, and solidarity.
Thank you for helping us honor Juno’s memory and lift up two incredible people who gave everything for their dog Juno.
