For those of you who don’t know my brother Kyle, he is an amazing person who would give you the shirt off his back. He is funny, kind, creative, and compassionate. He works at Montauk Cycle Company with our older brother Chris. Kyle is passionate about bikes, his family, his community, and working on cars. The night of 8/10/25, I got the call no sister ever wants to get. Kyle was in a terrible accident and was being rushed via ambulance to meet the medevac in Amagansett to be flown to Stony Brook Hospital Trauma Center. Kyle was the victim of a hit and run while riding his bike in Montauk. Kyle sustained numerous injuries including a severe head injury, a broken arm, fractured orbital bone, concussion, stitches above his right eye, and severe road rash. He’s is currently in the Intensive Care Unit at Stony Brook Hospital and the length of his stay is currently unknown. He might need to have a surgery to fix his broken bones, that is still to be determined. What we do know is that every day he remains in the hospital his medical bills will continue to increase. He is lucky to be alive. The driver unfortunately has not been found. It is devastating to think that someone can hurt another person so terribly and just drive away as if that persons life does not matter and has not been negatively impacted forever. Please keep him in your prayers as he begins the long recovery journey ahead of him. On behalf of Kyle and our family, we are asking for any assistance to help with his costly medical bills.
