**Support for Kyle Levitt After a Violent Attack in Downtown LA**
Our dear friend and loved one, Kyle Levitt, was the victim of a violent attack in Downtown Los Angeles early Sunday morning, June 1st, 2025.
Kyle is alive and in stable condition, currently recovering in the hospital. He sustained multiple injuries, including a deep and serious cut to his dominant hand. The emergency team acted quickly to stop arterial bleeding in the ER, and Kyle has since undergone a second surgery to reattach the tendons in his hand. He also sustained injuries to his head. We’re incredibly grateful he’s alive—and even more grateful that, through it all, Kyle has remained in good spirits.
Many of you know Kyle as a trained chef and someone who’s dedicated his career to food service. Because of the nature of his injuries, he’ll be unable to work for at least 2 to 3 months as he recovers and undergoes physical therapy.
We’re launching this campaign to help support Kyle financially during his recovery—from covering rent and basic expenses to giving him the space to heal without added stress.
To those of you who have already brought meals or signed up through the **MealTrain** site created by another friend: **thank you**. Your kindness has meant the world.
Tragically, we’ve learned that another man was also attacked by the same suspect and did not survive. The suspect is currently in custody. News coverage of the incident can be found here:
Please keep Kyle in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you so much for your compassion, generosity, and continued support during this incredibly difficult time.
