Dear Friends,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share the story of a truly remarkable young man, Kye Vera. A bright and determined Year 12 student, whose journey has taken an unexpected turn as he faces a battle against a rare and aggressive form of stomach cancer. Kye is currently undergoing chemotherapy and faces a long journey that will also include surgical interventions. Despite the challenges ahead, Kye and his family have shown incredible resilience and strength, inspiring everyone around them with positivity and fighting spirit.

Why We Need Your Help

The road to recovery will not be easy for Kye and his family. Kye requires extensive treatment that includes chemotherapy and surgery. Additionally, his family have had to take time off work to support Kye with his treatments. Kye's family have had to make difficult financial choices during this process, including taking time off work to support Kye and be together as a family.

What We Are Doing

A number of Kye's peers have committed to shaving their heads to raise awareness and funds for his fight. This courageous act symbolises their support for Kye and serves as a reminder that he is never alone in this battle.
