UPDATE!
We continue to be blown away by the miracle Kaylee is walking through! Seeing her off life support and breathing on her own is a gift we never take for granted. We are so incredibly grateful for the $15,000 raised so far; it has been the foundation that allowed the family to stay by her side through the most critical weeks in the ICU.
As we look ahead to April 15th and beyond, we are entering a brand-new phase. Kaylee is now preparing for the next major step: Aortic Valve Replacement surgery, which may involve a transfer to Edmonton.
While the initial donations have been a godsend in covering the last two months of lost income and the daily costs of being at the hospital, we are now looking at a whole new set of expenses. Between travel for surgery, out-of-province lodging, and the long months of recovery ahead where Kristy still cannot return to work, the road is still very long.
The reality of being away from work since mid-February is catching up, and we want to ensure the family can keep their focus entirely on Kaylee's heart and her siblings at home.
If you are able to share this update or contribute to this next stage of Kaylee's recovery, you are helping bridge the gap to her surgery and a healthy future.
If you prefer to donate directly to the family to avoid platform fees please click the "Message Organizer" button on this page. We will reply to you personally with the email address for transfers.
Thank you for being such an amazing village for this family! ❤️

Hello friends and family,
My good friend Kristy is currently going through every parent’s worst nightmare.
On February 16, her daughter Kaylee was admitted to the Regina General Hospital and has remained in high acuity care ever since. Kaylee is battling severe pneumonia along with a serious infection that has spread throughout her body. She is currently receiving oxygen and strong antibiotics, and her condition remains very serious. Kaylee is also a Type 1 diabetic, which makes fighting this illness even more difficult.
Kristy has not left her Kaylee’s side. She has been there day and night advocating for Kaylee, speaking with doctors and nurses, and doing everything a loving mother can do while her daughter fights to get better. During this incredibly stressful time, Kristy has barely been able to sleep, eat, and is not able to work at this time.
Anyone who knows Kristy knows the kind of person she is. She is one of the most caring and selfless people you could meet. I remember working with her at a Senior Living Facility, where all the staff and residents absolutely adored her. She has always gone above and beyond for others, offering kindness, support, and compassion to everyone around her.
Kaylee is a bright, creative, and fun young woman with a big heart. She has a love for animals and cares deeply for her pets — a bunny, a bearded dragon, and her dog, who are all a big part of her life. She is very close with her brother, stepbrother, and dad. Kaylee is always the kind of person who steps up to help her family. Whether that’s helping fix things around the house with her dad or lending a hand to her mom whenever she can. Her dad is always there for her too, helping fix her car and making sure she’s taken care of. They have the kind of family relationship where everyone shows up for each other.
We are starting this GoFundMe to help relieve some of the financial stress Kristy and her family is facing while she remains at the hospital with Kaylee. Donations will help cover things like hospital parking, meals, and everyday bills so Kristy can focus on what matters most right now — being there for her daughter.
If you are able to donate, any amount is deeply appreciated. If you cannot donate, sharing this page would mean the world to Kristy and her family.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and prayers for Kaylee during this incredibly difficult time.
