Her Children Need Us! Tragic death of KristinCarr

Hello my name is Kristian & on behalf of The Crosby Family, i am putting this GoFundMe page together to support my cousin Luther Carr: who as of Saturday lost his only sibling Kristin Carr. Mother of 3 boys, tragically murdered in front of her 13 year old son on Nov 26th, 2022 (exactly 1 month away from her 42nd birthday); as they walked home from the grocery store to finish dinner. Kristin and her son were shot near 100th Oglesby on Chicago’s Southside, just steps away from the family's house. Kristin was shot and taken to hospital with a critical injury, she later died. Her son also shot & fortunately survived.

He had come outside to walk his mom from the halfway point , that was his way of protecting her, as much as a 13 y/o could. He barely reached her as a black SUV pulled up and shots rang out. Sadly my little cousin watched his mom taking her last breathes, as he called 911 & frantically encouraged her to

“Breathe Ma”.

Kristin was a great mother, who would do anything for her children (her youngest boy only 4 years old) and now sadly , all 3 of these kids will have to know what it feels like to no longer have a mother . This was a senseless act, Kristin was a beautiful soul who loved everyone. Her friends & family affectionately called her “Krissy”. Daughter of Margie Crosby-Carr & Luther Carr III .

Luther (her beloved brother) & Krissy had just buried there lasting parent in August 2022. And now my cousin Luther will be faced with, not only the emotional task but the financial responsibility of raising his 3 nephews while he grieves his Sister & Father. Anyone who’s lost someone can imagine how difficult this will be. I commend him in his courageous Act of Love & call the community to help pool together funds to support him and the boys in the near & difficult future that lies before them.

* All monies raised will go directly to Luther & used for the children and any additional burial needs to lay our Dearest Kristin to rest .
