Hi, my name is Lachlan Beliveau, and I’m raising funds for my best friend since childhood- Korey Krog. If I wasn’t at home growing up, I was always at Koreys. He is like a brother to me. I want to do whatever I can to support him—and give his amazing mom some breathing room during this devastating time.

Earlier this year, Korey started experiencing severe pain. After months of appointments and uncertainty, he was diagnosed in May 2025 with lung cancer. Since then, his world has changed completely.

The cancer has spread—to his spine, his hip bone, and more recently, to his second lung. He’s gone through radiation in Kelowna and is currently receiving chemotherapy here in our hometown. He's on oxygen and has a chest tube to help drain fluid from his lungs. The pain is constant and intense—he’s on a fentanyl patch, and even something as simple as using his phone is too painful. His body is also suffering from edema (swelling), and he now needs daily help from his mom, who has taken time off work to care for him around the clock.

This fundraiser is to help ease the financial burden that’s fallen on both of them—things like travel costs, bills, medical-related expenses, and day-to-day support while his mom is off work. We’re hoping to raise $5,000, but anything helps.

If you know Korey, you know how kind, funny, and loyal he is. He has always been there for the people he loves—and now it’s our turn to show up for him.
