We are Kojin-Kai Karate Club, a small family-run karate club based in Ashford, Kent. We teach Kyokushin karate to students aged five and up, with a focus on confidence, respect and community. Our club is fully independent, so we are not part of a larger franchise or organisation. Our aim is to keep karate as affordable and accessible as possible for local families.

This year, a number of our students are preparing to enter karate competitions, many for the first time. As a club, we want to support them in every way we can – not just through training, but by helping reduce the financial pressure that can come with competing. Travel, equipment, entry fees and accommodation all add up, especially for families with more than one child taking part.

We are currently fundraising to provide team jackets for our competition squad, so that our students can represent Kojin-Kai with pride and feel part of something special. The jackets cost around £25 each, and we have about 20 students hoping to compete this season. Any funds raised beyond this will go towards covering or contributing to competition entry fees, helping to ease the cost for families and making competing more accessible for everyone.

We are also welcoming support from local sponsors. In return, we would be happy to give something back – such as promoting your business on our jackets, social media or at events. If you or your business would like to be involved, we would love to hear from you.
