Hi! Our names are Sarah Attwell and Nicole Sankey, on behalf of Klo’s family we are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of Klo Doh Say Dream, a bright and kind teenager who recently came to Australia from Mae La Oon Refugee Camp in Thailand.
Klo Doh Say had only been here for six weeks, full of hope and excitement for a new beginning. Born and raised in the refugee camp, he grew up with dreams of a better life and a deep love for learning. He was so proud to start at Oxley High School, where he had just begun his studies before the school holidays.
He loved school, soccer, and spending time with his family. To his parents and brothers, he was a joyful son and a caring brother, always helping, always smiling, and always doing his best.
This week, Klo Doh Say went fishing for the first time, something he had never experienced before, and tragically, he drowned. His sudden passing has left his family and community shattered.
We are asking for your support to help his grieving family cover the funeral and memorial costs. They have already endured so much hardship, and we want to ensure they can lay their beloved son to rest with dignity and love.
Every contribution, no matter how small, will help ease the burden on this family as they navigate unimaginable loss so far from the only home they have ever known.
Please keep Klo Doh Say’s family in your thoughts, and thank you for helping us honor his memory.
