My name is Allison Whisenant. My dad, who means the absolute world to us is going through a hard time right now. He was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in August of 2024. It totally blindsided my whole family. He had to immediately go in to the hospital at UAB. He went into remission in late 2024 and has maintained a strict schedule of doctor’s appointments and blood work to monitor his condition. Last week at a routine blood work appointment He found out the leukemia had returned. He has since been admitted back into the UAB for at least 30 to 45 days and my mom is staying by his side during this hard time.

My parents have never been the type to ask for help on anything. My brother and I have decided to set this up on their behalf. If you know my dad, you know he is the most genuine, hard working, family loving guy. He is the best man I have ever known and an honor to call him my dad. It pains my family to see him sick like this. We are faithful that the Lord will intervene, God is the greatest physician.
