Help Support Kevin Garrard Brain Surgery and Recovery

Donation protected
My name is Cassie Newbold, and I am Kevin Garrard’s niece (he's my Mom's brother). I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Kevin, his wife Gail, and their four children. I’m sharing their story and asking for help on their behalf.

On April 20, 2026, their family’s life changed in an instant. At 3:33 a.m., Gail woke to Kevin experiencing his first-ever Grand Mal seizure—completely unexpected and terrifying. Their two teenagers rushed into the bedroom to witness their father seizing and struggling to breathe. Guided by a 911 dispatcher, the family moved Kevin to the floor and began chest compressions, fearing the worst until he finally began breathing on his own. First responders arrived within minutes and transported him to the hospital. After a CT scan and MRI, they found a mass in the right side of his brain the size of a ping pong ball.

Kevin has now been out of work for two weeks while undergoing testing and awaiting brain surgery scheduled for May 4. His paid time off has been exhausted, and the surgery will require at least a month of recovery before he can return to work. As the primary provider for the family, with two children currently serving missions, this has created an immediate and significant financial strain.

Anyone who knows Kevin knows how deeply loved he is. He is an incredible man—steadfast in his faith and community, always wearing a smile, and always willing to help those in need.

As you can imagine, the family is facing unimaginable uncertainty right now, both emotionally and financially, as they approach surgery and recovery. Asking for help does not come easily to them, but they truly need the support of their family, friends, and community during this time.

Donations will go directly toward supporting Kevin and his family through his healing and recovery, helping ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult chapter.

Thank you sincerely for your kindness, prayers, and support.
