Help Support Kevin and Bonnie Linnell

If you’ve ever shopped the aisles of Vashon Ace Hardware, you’ve probably met two of the people that help make the store go round. Kevin the General manager, and his wife Bonnie the department manager in the paint section are two of Vashon’s  most valuable community members who time and time again have gone above and beyond the call of duty for our islanders in times of need.

A few years ago Kevin found out he has a rare form of bone cancer, which over the years has taken a tremendous mental, physical, and financial toll on Kevin and Bonnie. An initial femur break, has since lead to a long string of intense medical treatments, procedures, and many invasive surgeries. The last few months Kevin had been fighting off a very serious infection in his leg, that ultimately could not be controlled and was going to end his life if they didn’t act. On March 3rd Kevin had to have his leg amputated to stop the spread of infection and save his life. As you can imagine this is a pretty life changing event, that will require many changes for Kevin and Bonnie, as well as major medical expenses, and Kevin not being able to work for a time. The next few weeks and months are going to be very difficult all the way around for Kevin and Bonnie, worrying about finances shouldn’t be their main concern.
