Hi everyone,

Our family has been in the hospital since October 6th, after what was supposed to be the final surgery of Kenny’s three-stage heart repair, the Fontan procedure. We walked into it with hope that this would finally give him the quality of life he deserved.

At first, everything went well… until things suddenly changed. Kenny had to be rushed back into surgery after a fenestration, which is a small but vital opening needed for his heart recovery, had closed. Complications followed: he suffered a stroke, which led to seizures, and soon after that, doctors had to take down the Fontan because his body simply couldn’t handle it.

He also endured a brain bleed and kidney strain, which made his recovery even more complex. Despite all of this, Kenny is showing strength and improvement every day. We’re holding on to faith and hope, but we now know this will be a much longer road to recovery than any of us expected.

We’ve been doing our best to stay strong, but being in the hospital for over a month has made things financially difficult. Neither of us has been able to work, and my disability benefits were not approved. Between medical costs, household bills, and trying to keep our family stable through all of this, it’s been a challenge.

We’re humbly asking for help, whether it’s through a donation, a prayer, or simply sharing our story. Every bit of support makes a difference and helps us focus on what matters most: Kenny’s healing and keeping our family grounded through faith and love.
