Hello everyone, I’m setting up this fundraiser in hopes of raising money to help with my cousins medical bills.

Here is the full story from her husband:

In March 2024 Kendra went to the hospital not being able to taste anything. Within hours she was on IV meds and began treatment for kidney failure. Within 2 days she suffered a stroke, and blood work showed that she also developed pseudomonas and went into septic shock.

 1 week later she needed emergency heart surgery because the infection had invaded her heart valves. After the valve replacements, she continued to battle infections and has not been able to recover physically. In the past 8 months she has developed more infections and wounds on her body that needed specialists to diagnose.

The transfer back to the MO hospital that did her heart surgery revealed the devastating news that she has now been diagnosed with calsiphylaxis. In the past 14 months Kendra has only been able to be home a couple weeks at a time.

We are asking for any contributions to help with expenses and mobility products to help her have quality of life as she journeys through this difficult diagnosis.

UPDATE: We wanted to share a difficult update on Kendra’s condition. After a long stays at multiple hospitals, Kendra has now been sent home from the hospital with a serious, incurable infection. She continues to suffer from continuous strokes and is now under Hospice/Comfort Care to keep her as comfortable as possible during this time.

This has been an unimaginably hard journey for Kendra and her family. With no life insurance in place, the family is also facing overwhelming financial stress.
