It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the heartbreaking news that our beautiful Kelly passed away peacefully, surrounded by love.

Kelly’s courage, strength, and grace throughout her journey were nothing short of extraordinary. She fought with everything she had – for her children, for Torri, and for the precious time she was able to share with her family and friends. Even in the hardest moments, her warmth, humour, and love shone through.

Now, the focus shifts to supporting Torri, who is facing the unimaginable – raising their three beautiful children while grieving the love of his life. In this time of deep loss, our community’s support means more than ever.

Immediate living expenses to help Torri keep life as stable as possible for the children.

Schooling and everyday needs to ensure the kids are nurtured and cared for.

UPDATE (July 05/07/2025) – A New Chapter in Kelly’s Journey: Your Love and Support Matter More Than Ever!

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

We wanted to share an important and heartfelt update about Kelly’s journey.

Over the past few weeks, Kelly has faced significant challenges. Despite doing everything possible, from conventional and alternative treatments, her cancer has unfortunately progressed. Sadly, the cancer has spread to affect other areas of her body, including her spine, lungs, lymph nodes, right breast, and sacral bone, which has made her condition more complex and challenging to treat.

As a result, Kelly has been referred to a palliative care team who are helping to manage her pain day to day. This stage of her journey is incredibly confronting, but true to who she is, Kelly continues to face it with courage, honesty, and deep love for her family and friends.

Right now, the focus is on keeping Kelly as comfortable as possible and helping her to make meaningful memories with her loved ones. She is surrounded by her “village” — a strong and loving support network, and this fundraiser continues to play a vital role in relieving the enormous emotional and financial stress her family is carrying.

UPDATE (20/05/2025) – Kelly Urgently Needs Our Help! — She is Fighting for Her Life, Fighting for Her Family.

Since we first shared Kelly’s story, her condition has sadly progressed. The cancer has now spread further in her liver, and the tumours on her sacrum and tailbone have also grown in size. These tumours are causing her excruciating pain — from the moment she wakes up until she tries to sleep, which is often impossible due to the relentless discomfort.

Kelly underwent radiation treatment, but unfortunately, it didn’t target the tumours as intended — instead, it impacted her bladder, creating further complications. Past rounds of IV chemotherapy have not been effective for her, as she had an adverse reaction and the side effects of the radiation have been harsh and understandably discouraging.

Kelly has now been offered an oral anti-cancer drug (taken two weeks on, two weeks off), which is a less aggressive option than IV chemo, but still comes with significant side effects — and it's not a long-term solution. What Kelly desperately needs now is to get out of pain and reclaim even a small sense of daily comfort.

With limited options available locally, her family is now exploring overseas treatment, which is unfortunately not covered by insurance or public healthcare. They are facing the heartbreaking reality of potentially needing to sell their family home to access this care.

Kelly is not only fighting cancer — she is fighting for the chance to be present for her children, to share more precious moments with her partner, and to simply live. Her mental health is understandably suffering under the weight of all of this, but through it all, she continues to fight with everything she has.
