As most of Keeta's friends and family know, she was in a near fatal car accident a week ago. Keeta has been in ICU Royal Perth for a week now and our girl is very, very lucky to still be with us and still fighting !!
She has experienced quite a few severe injuries such as broken ribs, punctured lung, broken pelvis, femur, ankles, shoulder blade, and jaw etc. and she has been in 4 surgeries so far to try and correct these. She is still in ICU and still requires a breathing tube.
Keeta has got through most of the surgeries for all her broken bones. She also has evidence of DAI brain injury. Which is basically caused from the brain moving due to severe impact.
We are unsure at this stage how the brain injury has impacted her, until she is able to be woken up properly. It is going to be a very long road to recovery for our Keets.
Keeta is a very loved daughter, sister, granddaughter, auntie, cousin and friend. Keeta has a very big heart and always tries to help others when she can. We all love her so dearly and she has so much support around her.
Our family is not usually one to ask for help. We are all stubborn and try and get through by ourselves. We understand there is people in the world worse off than us right now, however at this stage to us this feels like the worst possible thing to deal with. We are all heartbroken, exhausted mentally and physically but trying to remain positive for our girl.
Our family is not in a financial position to take on all of the costs that will be involved with Keeta's long recovery process and after care.
All of our family have always been there to help out family and friends in need, always!! As hard as it is, we are now reaching out and saying "YES" we do need some help.
If you can assist with donating towards Keeta's recovery, that's amazing thank you, every little bit helps
If you cannot afford to donate, that's ok we totally understand. What we do ask is that (if you can) look at donating blood, its so simple to do and we have now seen first hand how this saves a life ❤
Thank you to everyone for your support, well wishes and guidance during this extremely tough time.
Thank you from Ashlee, Sharon, George, Brodie, Kids and all of the Family
