Help Support Keenan!

Donation protected
Keenan is a graduate student of social work at the University of Denver who was brutalized by the Loveland Police Department on July 13, 2020 while experiencing a medical episode in the Target parking lot in Loveland, CO. Witnesses took video that ultimately went viral online due to the collective shock by community when watching how Loveland police officers chose to physically assault Keenan repeatedly instead of helping him get medical attention.  Keenan sustained physical injuries from their brutality as well as psychological and emotional trauma that requires ongoing management and care.

Despite the videos showing that he did not resist arrest and witness testimony stating the same, the police chose to charge him with resisting arrest and obstructing an officer. So now in addition to dealing with the trauma police caused, he now also has to deal with the legal system in fighting charges that shouldn't even exist.

Therefore, we, with Keenan, are asking community to help provide the financial support that would allow Keenan to continue to fight these charges through obtaining additional legal support and getting the ongoing medical and mental health care that he requires. Let's support him so that he can continue on with his education and healing. And of course, so he can also get justice for the horrific brutality he's endured!

Please consider donating whatever you can, even if just $1, and please share widely! Let's prove that Black lives do in fact matter! Keenan matters!!

Thank you! We appreciate you so much!
