On the night of Saturday, November 15, 2025, my whole family's lives turned upside down. My Aunt Kaye was ambulanced from her home in Lake Cushman to Mason General with her husband following not far behind in their vehicle. When he arrived at Mason General, she was in a wheelchair sitting in the waiting room instead of a room. He made the hard decision to load her up and immediately drove her to St. Pete’s, where they wheeled her in immediately and started life-saving measures. She had a heart attack; her husband was told he did the right thing as if it had been any longer, she wouldn’t be here with us today!

We are asking for any help possible as she is in ICU at St. Pete’s Hospital and her husband can’t stay in her room with her. He was given a slip to stay at their charity house named Sunshine House Lodging, with it being $65 for a bed and bathroom or $50 for a small bed and half bathroom. We are asking for help for him to be able to stay as close as possible with Lake Cushman being so far away and him needing to be there for anything that may happen. Her heart is only working at 10%, and she is in an induced coma to try to help her heart heal. She needs to be as stress-free as possible. They are going to have so many house bills to still pay, as well as hospital bills, his lodge, and food. She needs all the prayers possible to push through this.
