We are heartbroken as we prepare to lay to rest Katrina Hamilton Caesar — a woman whose light was bold, whose love was wide, and whose laughter was impossible to forget.

Katrina lived out loud.

She was vibrant.

She was protective.

She was real.

A woman who loved with her whole chest.

A sister, a wife, a friend — and for many of us, a safe place.

Katrina was also a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. She lived authentically and loved deeply, never hiding who she was. Her love story with her wife Tamika was a beautiful example of resilience, loyalty, and true partnership. In honoring Katrina, we also honor her courage to live fully as herself.

We are coming together to celebrate her life in a way that reflects who she was: beautiful, full of spirit, and full of love.
